Cyndy spent most of her time perfecting the art of homemaking and caring for not only her own children but children in her neighborhood and beyond. She is the adopted mother and grandmother to countless children and adults and is commonly referred to as “Grandma Cyndy”. Her open door policy lent a safe and warm environment to stray people as well as animals. She would often be seen holding a baby, mending clothing for a myriad of folks, hugging people from all walks of life and most often, holding a crochet needle and baby yarn. Her passion was making something “shabby” usable and bright; this included her fellow man. She was the perfect mixture of fun, dutiful, loyal, and lighthearted and her forthright disposition earned her the respect of others.
She was the originator of countless catchphrases and words of wisdom and was a source of comfort for all that knew her. Cyndy made everybody feel like somebody so her following was quite extensive and long lasting.
Cyndy is survived by her husband Brian Haddeland and their two daughters, Daney LaVigne (Husband: Michael LaVigne) and Allison Chance (Partner: Greg Andruss).
She is also survived by her 5 siblings: Jeff Roberts, Tammy Alkire (Mike Alkire), Kurt Liptau (Cindy Liptau), Toni Munce (Steve Munce) and Kimberly Liptau (Derek) as well as many nieces, nephews, neighborhood kids and her beloved cats, Brody and Mowsa.
