Kathrine “Katie” Mae Wiltse (Mohs) May 4, 2024

Kathrine “Katie” Mae Wiltse (Mohs) unexpectedly passed away in Bothel, WA on Saturday November 18, 2023.  She was born on May 4, 1962, in Seattle WA to Raymond and Mary Mohs.  She graduated from Mount Lake Terrace HS and in 1997 earned her AAS degree from Wenatchee Valley College.  Katie was a loving mother and daughter, an avid gardener and a talented crocheter.  Look no further than the garden to find her knee deep in the soil weeding and pruning her beautiful flowers.

She recently said she would want people to remember her as helpful.  She was always eager to help anyone who needed her, even when she may not have much to give.

Katie was preceded in death by her father – Raymond Mohs, granddaughter – Rayleen Wiltse, sister – Toni Mohs, niece – Kristy Mohs, and nephews – Anthony Mohs and Kenny Mohs.

Katie leaves behind three children Jessica Mathewson, Travis Wiltse and Zachary Wiltse, eleven grandchildren, her mother Mary Mohs, six siblings and many nieces and nephews.  She loved her family deeply and they were the light of her life.  Her happiest times were always when she was together with her children and grandchildren.

On Saturday, January 6th, 2024, there will be a private gathering at the Edmonds pier with an open house at her mother’s residence afterwards.

The family is asking for donations in lieu of flowers be made to Mental Health America.  Our hope is that your gift will honor Katie and make a difference in the lives of people who struggle the way she did.
