Michael Cox December 10, 1953 - July 10, 2023

Michael G. Cox passed away peacefully on July 10th, 2023, in Marysville, Washington. He had been battling Mantle Cell Lymphoma and Lewy Body Dementia. He was 69 years old.

Michael was born on December 10th, 1953, in Alameda, California to Daniel U. Cox and Constance Y. Shaw.  He was the oldest of his siblings. Michael had three brothers, five sisters, and two step-sisters.

He resided in California until 1987 then moved to Washington state with his family. He was a High-rise window cleaner for the greater Seattle area until 2018 and owned his own High-rise window cleaning business. He taught many friends and family the skill of high-rise window cleaning, many who are currently working in the profession to this day.  Some of Michael’s favorite customers over the years included The Space Needle, Children’s Hospital, Starbucks Center, Quest Field, The Seattle Library, Horizon House and King 5 News.

Michael enjoyed spending time with family, friends, his church, and the great outdoors.

His hobbies included backpacking, fishing, hiking, camping, snow skiing, water skiing, and in his younger years, skydiving.

He had a great sense of humor and competitive nature. He will be remembered for his patience, kindness, generosity and huge heart.

He is preceded in death by his parents Daniel Cox, Constance (Shaw) Farrell and

brother Kenneth “Kenny” Farrell.

He will be dearly missed by his friends, family, and children.

His sons; Jason, Adam and daughter in law Michelle, his daughter; Alicia and son in law Doug, his sons; Aaron and Owen.

His grandchildren; Elijah, Tarel, Solomon, and Ace.  Brothers; Jack Farrell and Daniel “Danny” Cox. Sisters; Marcell Farrell, Denise Coonce, Lesa Fisher, Cynthia Savage, and Kimm Paden.

Step-sisters; Terasa Lynn and Lynn Lombardi.

Nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He will forever remain alive in our hearts.

    My Dear Michael & Family
    You were my Rock, after Mom pass you were there. Thank you for your support. The man in my life showed me what men are. Gentle, Kind, ginormous heart of gold, selfless, compassionate, caring, one in a million. The world has loss a very special man, I loss my Rock you will be forever in my heart. I will miss you so very much. But i know one day we will see each other again. Give all of our family in Heaven a hug and kiss from me.
