Nicole “Nica” Anee Hongerholt April 25, 2024

Nicole “Nica” Anee Hongerholt, 48, of Tulalip, Washington passed away on Sunday, January 22nd, 2023 at Providence Hospital in Everett, Washington.

She was born January 30th, 1974 in Spring Valley, Minnesota to Rosalie and Henry Hongerholt, Jr. She grew up in Fargo, North Dakota where she graduated and met her longtime love, Jason Restemayer. In 1996, they moved to the Pacific Northwest where they built a large community of friends that are like family and are raising their four boys.

Nica worked for Puget Sound Energy for 17 years.

Nica loved her friends and family fiercely. She enjoyed playing games, hiking, and watching sunsets. But most of all, she was dedicated to her children.  Saturdays were deemed “Sports Saturdays”, shuffling from one game or practice to another. She never missed a game.

She is survived by her longtime love, Jason Restemayer; father Henry Hongerholt, Jr; children Ty, Skyler (Olivia Gomez), Aydenn, and Tyhren; siblings Brandon (Amanda) Hongerholt, Kristina Hongerholt, and Henry “Tate” (Jami Johnson) Hongerholt III; grandchildren Takotah, Ty Jr, and Tyreinah; nieces and nephews Damian, Nathan, Alyssa, Gracie, Emery, Isaac, and Kyler; and many aunts, uncles, and loving friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Rosalie Hongerholt.

There will be a celebration of her life at Noon on February 26th, 2023 at the Mission Highlands Community Building in Tulalip, Washington. Burial will be at a later date at the Hongerholt Cemetery in Peterson, Minnesota.
