Ross Richard Hallanger November 2, 2024

Ross Richard Hallanger, 38, of Lake Stevens, WA, died August 6, 2023. Ross was born on January 10, 1985 in Everett, WA. Ross will be remembered as a son, father, brother, and uncle. He graduated from Lake Stevens High School in 2003. Growing up Ross enjoyed swimming, soccer, tennis, snowboarding, and living in Lake Stevens. Ross attended Everett and Edmonds Community College. 

 

Ross worked for West Point Treatment Plant in Seattle. He also worked for the sewer district, county parks, and his own landscaping business. 

 

In 2013 Ross and Amber Freitag welcomed their daughter Roslyn Mae Hallanger. Roslyn was the light of his life.  

 

Some of the things he enjoyed included camping, reading, bulldogs, music, Norse mythology, history, and the Seahawks. His love for nature included family trips camping at Lake Wenatchee, enjoying Lake Chelan, and clam digging in Ocean Shores. He was also a member of Ebenezer Lutheran Church where he was baptized and confirmed. 

 

He was preceded in death by his loving father Richard Hallanger Jr. He is survived by his loving daughter Roslyn Hallanger, his mother Pam Hallanger, brother Mike Hallanger, his sister Sharron Hallanger Wilson (Darren Wilson), and nieces Sedona and Juniper Wilson. 

 

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Lake Stevens. A reception will follow.  

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a place close to Ross’ heart: Camp Lutherwood in Bellingham, WA.
