Monte Murphy April 27, 2024

Monte Murphy of Arlington, WA passed away in his home on October 3, 2023 surrounded by his loved ones. Born in Bend , OR, Monte spent much of his youth in the Portland metro area with his brother and four sisters. Monte operated a carpet cleaning business in the Seattle metro area and was dedicated to quality workmanship and remarkable customer service.

Monte previously worked many years in the restaurant industry as well as in the insurance and lumber industries. Monte was a proud member of the Toastmasters and Lions clubs during his life.

Monte enjoyed watching sports, visiting family and friends, attending church, and traveling with his wife. Monte and Patti recently celebrated their 50^th wedding anniversary with many dear friends and loved ones. Monte enjoyed the companionship of many pets over the years but was most fond of his black cat George. Monte enjoyed good conversation and sharing his knowledge on a wide variety of subjects. He was known to engage in a good debate should the opportunity arise. Monte was a generous person with his arms open to all and his home open to many that needed a place to stay. Monte chose to recognize the good side of any situation and of all people.

Monte is preceded in death by his parents George and Fay Murphy of Portland, OR and daughter-in-law Adriana Cooper. Monte is survived by his wife Patti, his son Rob Murphy; daughter-in-law Karin Palagyi; grand children Lisa, Travis, Adrian and Abby; great-grand son Jiraiya; nephew Grant and his wife Colleen along with their children Sydney, Cami, Cole and Jordan; his three daughters and their children; his brother Bob (Joyce); his sisters Maureen, Shari (Lynn), Kathy, Molly and many very loved nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Monte’s life will be celebrated at 11:30 AM on Saturday October 28, 2023 at Arbor Church 19011 Woodinville Snohomish Rd #210, Woodinville, WA 98072

Monte will greatly be missed.
