William Gipner September 24, 1945 - March 8, 2024

William Donald Gipner Jr, 78, passed away on March 8, 2024 in Snohomish, WA. He is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Sunshine Ledger, father, William Donald Gipner Sr. and brother, Gordon P. Gipner.  William was

born September 24, 1945 in Dearborn, MI and graduated from Kelloggsville High School in 1963.  He attended Grand Rapids Community College where he received two Associate Degrees.

William was founder and owner of S.I.R. Company in Grand Rapids, MI from 1976-1982 where he presided as President of the Grand Rapids Home Builders Association for two years. He moved to Washington State in 1982 were he became an advide Seahawks fan.

He was known for his adventurous spirit and especially for loving his family.  He is survived by his wife, Geraldine of 48 years and his cat, Helga.  William had two daughters: Tammy Langolf (Dave) of Concord, NC and Billie Jo Gipner of Snohomish, WA., five stepchildren: John Thees (Toni), Felicia Pierce (Tom) of Snohomish, WA, Gwen Pascoe of Hilton Head Island, SC, Shelley Fletcher (Doug) of Lowell, MI, and Jim Thees (Sherry) of Shelbyville, MI.   He is also survived by his brother, Terry Gipner of Hoover, AL and sister, Mary Lee Petrie (Roger) of Indianapolis, IN.  William had 13 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.

He will be dearly missed by all who knew him for his hugs,  unsolicited advice, and his ever embellished stories of hunting and fishing with his cousins in Alaska.
