On Wednesday, October 21, 2020, Catherine Elizabeth Stone, loving wife and mother to three children, passed away at the age of 66.
Catherine (Cathy) was born on January 16, 1954 in Omaha, Nebraska to William and Lois (Coffelt) Messer. On February 14, 1976, she married Randy Stone and soon moved to Washington. They raised two sons, Christain and Scott, and one daughter, Stephanie.
Cathy had a love for horses and enjoyed not only riding and driving them, but the people that she would meet. Following the current politics was a passion of hers. When the house was quiet, you would often find her curled up in her chair watching the news or reading one of her favorite books. She had a love of Christmas and enjoyed baking cookies with her grandchildren. She was known for her warm personality and infectious laughter.
Cathy was preceded in death by her father, William. She is survived by her mother, Lois; her husband, Randy; her three children, Christain, Scott and Stephanie; her grandchildren, Dylan, Sydney, Savannah, Ronan, Liam, and Skyler; her sister, Patti and her brother, Rick. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Machias Community Cemetery at 1pm.

January 6, 2021 at 6:32 amI was totally shocked to hear of Cousin Cathy’s passing. My condolences go out to Randy and family and to my dear Aunt Lois, Rick and Patti in Nebraska. I have many childhood memories of her that will always stay close to my heart. She was a wonderful person with a heart of gold. RIP Cathy til I see you one day again!
