Mary Ann Wicken February 1, 1934 - December 10, 2021

Mary Ann Wicken, 87, passed away on Friday, December, 10, 2021 at her home in Arlington, Wash. with her family by her side. She was born on February 1, 1934 in Wapato, Wash. to Inez and Harold Brown. Mary Ann grew up in Arlington, Wash. She married Donald “Red” Wicken in 1955 in Coeur D’ Alene, Idaho and was happily married for 49 years. Mary Ann will be remembered for her huge heart and kind soul. She dedicated much of her life raising children and loving every minute of it. Her house was always warm and inviting and her food was as well. She was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She made a difference in so many peoples lives and will forever be missed. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her daughter Karri Green; her parents, Inez and Harold Brown; brothers, Daniel and Norman Brown; sister-in-law, Juanita Brown; brother-in-law, Warren Wood; mother-in-law, Mabelle Wicken; great grandson, Denver Harris and her beloved husband Donald Wicken. Mary Ann is survived by her three sons Clint, Wes, and Kelly Wicken, all of Darrington, Wash; her sisters; Kathryn Wood of Marysville, Wash. and Linda and Russell Shepard of Stanwood, Wash; her sister-in-laws, Lavita Brown of Eureka, CA and Mary Lou Wicken of Shelton, Wash; her grandchildren, Randi, Cami, Kristi, Jake, Reiley, Maggie, Walker, and Mabelle; thirteen great grandchildren; and numerous other close family and friends. A memorial dinner will be held at the Darrington Community Center, January 29, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Darrington funeral dinner fund.
